Updates & Current Events
Update: I am working for the Kirkland Arts Center and continuing to work on my path as an artist after
re-establishing my practice in Washington, under Trish Brownlee, LCC - thanks to generous grants from CERF+, the Haven Foundation, the Joan Mitchell Foundation, the Artist’s Fellowship. I am very grateful. My voice and hands as an artist are evolving. During 2020-2021, I am working on a book that is part memoir, part monograph, part documentary. I have set a goal to finish the book by November 2021, acknowledging that publishing brings a new challenge. This book brings together the bodies of artwork I've been creating for the last 9 years within the larger context of memoir.
I may post less during these next 12 months, but I hope the end result of this extended studio lock-down will result in a meaningful work I can share. Thank you for following my work.
Backstory: As a result of two hurricanes and three floods in our home over the last two years, my family has decide to build a new life in Washington State. Thank you to everyone in North Carolina and around the country for your support as I've built my practice over the last 15 years.
